If you are also looking for ways to put DVD movies on iPod on Mac OS (Snow leopard 10.6.3 included), then just follow this step by step DVD to iPod guide.

Step1. Download and install DVD ripper for Mac

Just insert your favorite DVD on the DVD-ROM and load your DVD files to the program through "Load DVD". Alternatively, you can hit "Load IFO" to import IFO files. In a minute, your DVD files will be listed at the main panel. There you can learn your original video duration and trimmed video duration if you have trimmed your DVD movies.

Step2. Output Setting
Select "iPod - MP4" from the output formats list in "format" drop-down list. Go to "Output" to set the output directory to save the converted files. You can also adjust other settings such as video quality, audio track, Bitrates, aspect ratio, brightness, contrast, saturation, etc.

Step3. Convert DVD to Ipod on Mac
When the settings are done, click the "Start" button to start conversion. And then the program will automatically start to convert DVD to iPod MP4 file. When the conversion is finished, you can click "Open" to locate DVD ripped on Mac for iPod. If you don't want to wait around during the DVD to iPod conversion, the smart program can switch off the computer automatically when the conversion is done.
