"Macworld" what will be changed in 2009 for iTunes?


As the world biggest multimedia data resource iTunes has sold out about 6 billion songs by now and about 75 million accounts has been registered on it. As the first music selling channel in America, what will be changed in 2009 for iTunes?

First, the price. In the past six years, Apple's pricing has always been a single, 99 cents. Today, the music companies want to be more flexible, the new price will be between 69 cents to 1.29 U.S. dollars.

Secondly, the copyright protection. After negotiate with major music companies, Apple start to selling eight million DRM-Free music . In the end of the first quarter in 2009, this figure will reach 10 million.

Thirdly, the iPhone's music store. Now, you can purchase music through the 3G network , and not just through WiFi. From today, no matter where you are, you can directly download music to the phone just like purchase music through a computer with the same sound quality .
